Position Overview:
CAI is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional in Mission Critical industries as the Director of Operations (DOO) for CAI Mission Critical in the EU region. The DOO plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and efficiency across the continental region. You will oversee multiple geographic locations and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of our services. The successful candidate will possess a strong track record of operational leadership, strategic thinking, and be able to drive organisational growth.
The DOO is responsible for the day-to-day operations, personnel and resource management, and general execution of operations to achieve the strategic vision of the Mission Critical Division at CAI. The DOO accomplishes these functions through:
Operational Strategy and Planning:
· Develop and execute a comprehensive operational strategy aligned with the CAI's goals and objectives.
· Identify opportunities for operational improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
· Collaborate with senior leadership to establish performance metrics and goals for the continental operations.
Financial Management:
· Monitor and manage the financial performance of the continental operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
· Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
· Drive initiatives to optimise resource allocation and utilisation, ensuring efficient delivery of services.
Process Optimization and Standardization:
· Streamline and standardise operational processes to enhance productivity and quality across all locations.
· Implement best practices and enforce CAI Policies and Procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.
· Continuously assess and improve operational workflows to drive operational excellence and meet client expectations.
Team Leadership and Development:
· Lead and inspire a diverse team of operational professionals across multiple geographic locations.
· Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
· Identify training needs and facilitate professional development opportunities to enhance team performance.
Relationship Management:
· Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and people solutions, to ensure alignment and seamless coordination.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and vendors.
· Proactively address client concerns, resolve operational issues, and ensure client satisfaction.
Risk Management and Compliance:
· Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate operational, regulatory, and compliance risks.
· Ensure adherence to relevant industry regulations, legal requirements, and internal policies.
· Implement and monitor robust internal controls to safeguard data integrity and confidentiality.
Requirements Include:
· BS in a science or engineering field or equivalent years’ experience
· 10 years or more of experience in Data Centre/Mission Critical Operations, Commissioning, or Facility Engineering / Facility Management
· 5 years or more of experience in Consulting or Professional Services
· Experience in one or more of the following: design reviews, facilities and equipment start-up walk downs & troubleshooting, HVAC, Medium/ Low voltage, LEED, facility auditing, Data Center/Mission Critical infrastructure, and Back-up/ UPS systems, test scripts, commissioning plans, Data Center/Mission Critical Basis of Design, Sequence of Operations, and Owner’s Project Requirements.
· Exceptional business acumen with an entrepreneurial spirit, consisting of strong managerial and leadership skills and experience.
· A recognised leader in the Data Centre industry in the EU region.

· Excellent oral and written English skills are required
· Able to travel internationally
· Able to work extended hours, as applicable
· Able to work in the EU without sponsorship now or any time or in the future
